(Senior) Accountant (f/m/d) - Accounts Payable

Your role With your expertise in the area of material expenses and the associated sales tax relevant business processes, you will be responsible for accounting and approval processes in our Accounts Payable department, acting as the main contact for other departments.

You will

  • Review, correct and secure current accounting records and the workflow-based approval process
  • Be responsible for submitting VAT and recapitulative statements
  • Prepare financial statements (completeness check of booked revenues, plausibility check of transaction data, sample check, report preparation, ad-hoc analyses, etc.)
  • Ensure payment transactions incl. currency account control, sparring partner for Treasury
  • Sparring partner for Finance & Controlling, Operations, IT, Sales and Procurement
  • Proactively and continuously develop existing processes (especially on and in our ERP system Dynamics BC365/BC15 as well as in the continuous involvement and development of the accounting process)
  • Lead the communication with international customers

What you bring

  • At least basic commercial education and/or further study in financial accounting or tax law
  • 4+ years of experience in a comparable position in the area of accounts payable (HGB)
  • Experience in a fast growing environment or the logistics industry is a plus
  • You like to work in an organised and structured way, which is why you also proactively apply these skills where there is potential for improvement
  • As a team player, you are committed to foster collaboration as well as constant functional knowledge sharing
  • You are business fluent in German and English
